Lincoln Square, located at 555 11th Street NW, is sympathetic to the character of the Pennsylvania Avenue Historic District of which it is a part. Lincoln Square is designed to be sympathetic to the character of the Pennsylvania Avenue Historic District, of which it is a part. Two existing three-story facades are preserved in place, rehabilitated, and incorporated in the new building facade. In addition, seven facades, six 3 or 4 story and one seven story, were dismantled and re-erected as part of the building. All of the existing building facades have new storefronts designed consistent with the historic character of the facade. The building itself consists of 12 above grade office floors and a ground floor retail and service level; the above grade area is approximately 363,000 gross square feet. A partial level of retail, a cinema level providing eight theaters, and three levels of parking for about 350 cars is provided below grade.
